CARSON CITY, Nev. — July 10, 2018 — As part of its efforts to continually meet national and international standards, Ametherm today announced that the company has upgraded the quality management system (QMS) at its Carson City, Nevada, facilities from ISO 9001:2008 to ISO 9001:2015. Ametherm’s facilities have been ISO 9001-certified since August 2007.
ISO 9001 is the international standard that specifies requirements for a QMS. The latest version of the standard — ISO 9001:2015 — is less prescriptive than its predecessor, instead focusing on performance. It achieves this focus through a combination of risk-based thinking and a process approach, as well as employment of the “plan-do-check-act” cycle at all levels in the organization.
Ametherm’s certificate (#C0098077-IS5) was issued by NSF International Strategic Registrations (NSF-ISR), a leading global certification body. NSF-ISR granted the registration upon Ametherm’s successful completion of a series of quality system assessments. Ametherm is certified for the development and manufacture of NTC and PTC thermistors for automotive, medical, green energy, consumer, and industrial applications.
Details on the Ametherm quality program are available on the company’s website at https://www.ametherm.com/quality-and-certifications.
